Kaiju King is a battle game in which the player is in control of a kaiju or a mecha, and its goal is to destroy the city once controlled by the humans.
The game features the use of cellular automata to generate the roads, its logic, and orientation, implicitly creating procedural roads for the city. Moreover, Kaiju King features destructible buildings and a time attack mode in which, the player most destroy the most of the city in the shortest time possible.
Kaiju King was my bachelor’s dissertation, made in collaboration with three artist/designers. It was made in Unreal Engine 4 for PC, and I did all the programming focusing on base implementations in C++ and in-depth use of blueprints.
