As part of a project for the Master in Games, it was created a framework in Unity which uses Stochastic Shape Grammars to generate a multitude of buildings. It provides a simple syntax used to define advanced rules with a great expressive power.
The rules which can be applied to the different symbols and the geometry are:
- Transform and Replace.
- Component Split.
The combination of these rules allowed us to create an immense amount of variations using simple compositions of rules and more in details buildings with more precise compositions.
